Designing a brand that makes data feel human.

The Data Poet is a writer turned analyst helping people understand data through simple, meaningful storytelling. We partnered with him to build a visual identity that reflects clarity, curiosity, and trust — a brand system designed for publishing, teaching, and long-term growth.

I transform complex data into clear, actionable stories that help organizations and individuals understand concepts, communicate value and make smarter decisions.
- 01You will understand what your data means.
- 02You will feel confident explaining and defending the meaning of your data.
- 03You will sound sharp, thoughtful and credible while presenting data.
From complexity to clarity.
The primary logo combines a dP monogram with the wordmark 'The Data Poet.' The monogram uses simple letterforms and extended serifs to give the brand an editorial, thoughtful feel — reflecting The Data Poet's role as a calm, credible voice in data and research. The mix of uppercase and lowercase introduces subtle contrast, representing the complexity and irregular nature of data, balanced through spacing and structure to communicate clarity, intelligence, and trust.

A monochrome foundation. An accent palette for rhythm.
A monochrome foundation creates consistency. A flexible accent palette helps categorise topics, highlight insights, and bring energy to the publishing system.
A pattern language, not a chart.
Inspired by repetition, rhythm, and data structures, the pattern system creates a distinctive visual language without relying on generic charts or tech clichés.
A rhythm for publishing.
A set of on-brand social templates keeps the voice consistent across every post — while leaving room for stories, spotlights, and insight.
A system, not just an identity.
The identity extends across digital and physical touchpoints, creating a cohesive experience wherever The Data Poet appears.

The Data Poet now has a visual identity that matches the quality of his thinking — a system designed not just for today, but for every article, presentation, event, and product that comes next.
